MEET OUR LEADERS Pastor Kevin Cunningham is our Founder, CEO, Visionary and Senior Pastor. He has a vision to see the people of God receive all the promises that are in the Word of God.Pastor Cunningham is the last of 11 children born to a Pastor, Bishop Charles D. Cunningham, and an Evangelist, (late) Mother Operitus Cunningham. Early in his life, his parents realized that there was something special about him when the doctor advised them to "abort this one [baby]" due to complications with his mother's health while carrying him in her womb. However, his father had only one reply for the doctor: "Abort yours."Pastor Cunningham was an expressive orator even as a child. As the valedictorian in grammar school, his speech was so moving until it left the audience full of emotion. He played instruments and sang in the family's singing group - “The Amazing Cunninghams” - yet his destiny to be a leader was unfolding through his love for basketball. From High School to College, the coaches relied on him to come through and save the game for the team. His sights were set on the pros,... but God's plan timely began to refocus his vision toward Christ! As a result of a back injury while playing basketball, he lost his ability to fulfill his desire of going pro "naturally" and went pro "spiritually" by turning to the Lord to satisfy his void and longing for fulfillment.Once his direction turned, so did his vision!Pastor Cunningham began to see the church in a whole different light! He accepted the call to preach in November of 1993 and began experiencing the "mature" ministry the Lord had birthed in his soul. He desired to have his ministry and life complimented with a companion; so he met and married the 'sparkle in his eye,' Deirdre, in June of 1994. Since then, his ministry has gone to new heights and dimensions in the Spirit of the Lord.In 2003, God instructed Pastor Cunningham to start having prayer in the lower level of his home as Vision Of Victory Evangelistic Ministries, Inc. The prayer services were full of power and souls were added to the ministry! After 1 year in Gary, IN. and 2 years in Chicago, the congregation reached capacity in 753 East 75th Street, the first location. Pastor Cunningham and the congregation began to spy out the land in the area for new territory to accommodate the growth of the ministry. In March 2010, they claimed new and larger territory at 7414 South Cottage Grove.Amidst all of this, Pastor Cunningham completed and self-published his first book - Six Principles Of Manhood - which is available for purchase on the world wide web!Pastor Cunningham continues to administer the Word of God with practicality that produces divine results for all who believe and perform it. He is guided by the fact that he believes that we, the people of God, shall have whatsoever we say according to the Word. Therefore, he proclaims "Apply the principles, expect the power!"Pastor Cunningham strives to be "a pastor after God's own heart" by obeying nothing but the voice of the Lord! Elect Lady Deirdre Cunningham is the faithful, compassionate and gorgeous companion of our visionary! She serves by his side faithfully and relentlessly!From the basement of their home, to the South Side of Chicago, Elect Lady Cunningham has been the help meet that God ordained for the vision placed within her husband to come to pass! Elect Lady Deirdre Cunningham is a native of Jackson, Mississippi. In 1984, she obtained her Associates of Arts Degree in Music/Voice. Then, through the birth of her son (Keith), God ordered her steps to Chicago, where she received the baptism of the Holy Ghost and dedicated her life to the Lord May 2, 1985 – (She believes that you’'re missing something if you don'’t remember the date you got saved!) She lived saved as a single mother, glad about salvation and sold out to Lord! In 1994, she was found to be a 'good thing' by the love of her life - Pastor Kevin Cunningham - through this marriage they have five children: Keith, Kara, Keaera, Kiya and Jeremiah, and enjoy a blessed union! Through their ministry, Pastor & Elect Lady Cunningham have experienced the raw power of God unfold the signs, wonders and miracles that the word of God proclaims in the Book of Acts. Souls have been saved and delivered, bodies healed and families added to the ministry. In 2006, Elect Lady Cunningham formed Descendents Of Victory Network, Inc., an organization geared toward helping the youth better themselves through programs that focus on causing them to become productive members of society. Through this organization, they have seen many young people become transformed, seeking for God, and making a positive mark in this world.Elect Lady Cunningham has dedicated her life to obeying the call of the Lord through submitting herself to the leadership of her husband. Esther's House

Esther's House is a ministry that teaches and trains young ladies, between the ages of 11 and 18, how to keep their purity and to see their value through the eyes of God.

According to Genesis 3:15, God put enmity between the woman and the devil. It is the woman's seed that is destined to bruise his head. Therefore, the enemy is seeking ways to destroy this Godly ordinance, by any means necessary.

We at Esther's House endeavor to war a good warfare, against these means, by instilling in our young ladies that if they live dedicated to the Lord, they, as Esther, will be the queens that God intended.

Descendants Of Victory (DOV) Network, Inc. is a faith-based organization focused on meeting the needs of today'’s youth.DOV Network will provide programs and schedule recreational activities designed to magnify the strengths, build strong character and recreate positive self-images in the participants.Our goals are to transform weaknesses into stepping stones, motivate positive social change, and produce youth who focus on securing their future. Currently there are no programs that exist of this magnitude in the Chatham area. The DOV Network will be a trendsetter for future programs and organizations in the community. ObjectivesThe objectives of the DOV Network include:· The implementation of programs that take a different approach to meeting the needs of youth in the community and surrounding area.· To help promote enrichment in the community and surrounding areas by reinforcing affirmative principles for living.· To be a solution to the issue of idle and prodigal youth after school hours.· To provide an atmosphere conducive to learning and enjoyable activities that promotes good social interaction.· To be a beacon of hope to the families of the participants through investing in their future.MissionDescendants Of Victory (DOV) Network’s mission is to transform the minds of youth from thoughts that produce idle and prodigal activity into kingdom minded living for social change. Through this transformation, we will provide the participants with an alternative to the current wasteful behavior that is being displayed by so many of our youth today. It is our belief, that by participating in our programs, youth will come and receive a transformation that results in an epidemic of constructive life evolution. It is our desire to enrich the lives of the participants with meaning that provides them a love for self and appreciation for people. Motivation of the participants will develop through a sense of change that encourages them to follow a new path toward vast opportunities and renewed success. We are convinced that leading by example coupled with comprehensive instruction will return great results through our program. Therefore, modeling integrity and providing involved education are the foundation of our programs’ achievement.

The word Bethesda means "house of mercy."

House Of Bethesda will operate specific programs and projects that will help administer healing and restoration to those who have been afflicted and rendered ineffective by some kind of substance addiction.

House Of Bethesda will function under an agenda to help restore and heal those that are bound or have been bound to drug addiction.

House Of Bethesda will have trained counselors to assist our mission of restoring and reforming lives to improve and invigorate our communities.

House Of Bethesda will not just help liberate the participants from the usage of drugs, but it will also endeavor to make the individuals productive in society by providing career training.

House Of Bethesda will partner with other organizations to bring its mission to pass. Our first step is to secure the appropriate funding and a facility for this project.

TAKE IT BACK!...HOW?

TAKE IT BACK HOW Notice 1 Samuel 30:1-10: "And it came to pass, when David and his men were come to Ziglag on the third day, that the Amalekites had invaded the south, and Ziklag, and smitten Ziklag, and burned it with fire; And had taken the women captives, that were therein: they slew not any, either great or small, but carried them away, and went on their way. So David and his men came to the city, and, behold, it was burned with fire; and their wives, and their sons, and their daughters, were taken captives. Then David and the people that were with him lifted up their voice and wept, until they had no more power to weep. And David's two wives were taken captives, Ahinoam the Jezreelitess, and Abigail the wife of Nabal the Carmelite. And David was greatly distressed; for the people spake of stoning him, because the should of all the people was grieved, every man for his sons and for his daughters: but David encouraged himself in the Lord his God. And David said to Abiathar the priest, Ahimelech's son, I pray thee, bring me hither the ephod. And Abiathar brought thither the ephod to David. And David enquired at the Lord, saying, Shall I pursue after this troop? shall I overtake them? And he answered him, Pursue: for thou shalt surely overtake them, and with out fail recover all. So David went, he and the six hundred men that were with him, and came to the brook Besor, where those that were left behind stayed. But David pursued, he and four hundred men: for two hundred abode behind, which were so faint that they could not go over the brook Besor." First, let's make certain of this fact that David had left his family to participate in a battle that he should not have been involved with. Therefore, when David cried in verse 4, it was a cry of repentance in doing what he was not commanded to do. So, from this we learn that repentance is the first step to regaining what has been lost or stolen! And, in THAT admit that you don't have something(s) that you SHOULD have, for which YOU are to blame! (THAT's a good word!) Then, in verse 5, we see that ALLLL the people spoke of stoning David; YET David focused on the MAJORS and let the minors die! (Mm! THAT's a good word too!) Minors, if you will, provide no positive answers, only negative implications! DEFINITIVES come through MAJORS! (Ah! ANOTHER good word!) So, although faced with weakness and inabilities, David allowed the need to have courage drive him to the source of strength - the EPHOD (PRAYER and SUPPLICATION)! In his flesh, David got an answer [stone me because it's all my fault!] But, in prayer David got the answer [GO GET IT!] "Throw me overboard!" was Jonah's plight, but not that of a king such as David! So, the Lord through prayer says to YOU as He said to David - Pursue: for thou shalt surely overtake them, and without fail recover all. Notice when the Lord spoke there was no exclamation point at the end, implicating emotion? God doesn't involve emotion when He speaks because He already knows the outcome is victory! When is surely planted in the depths of your soul, you rise from prayer immediately into ACTION! Now, watch this: in Verse 10 David goes with his men and came to the brook Besor, which is where those that were left behind stayed. You must know, especially in pursuit, that there are JOYS ahead; but, joy doesn't complete your mission! For Besor means "cheerful" but it was NOT the victory! In this you must also know that those you begin with may or may not be those who are at the place of victory with you! David started his quest with 600, but 200 stayed at the first place of JOY! David was able to recover all without fail because he had the chutzpa to pursue until the goal was accomplished! People of God, what I'm saying is be filled with RELENTLESS DETERMINATION FOR VICTORY! THIS SHALL spread throughout your household and catch others around you on fire with the same spirit, anointing and power! So, THAT's how you take what's been stolen from you or lost back!

BELIEVE GOD ONLY BELIEVE GOD ONLY!2 Kings 7: 1, 2, 16 - 20 "Then Elisha said, Hear ye the word of the LORD; Thus saith the LORD, To morrow about this time [shall] a measure of fine flour [be sold] for a shekel, and two measures of barley for a shekel, in the gate of Samaria. Then a lord on whose hand the king leaned answered the man of God, and said, Behold, [if] the LORD would make windows in heaven, might this thing be? And he said, Behold, thou shalt see [it] with thine eyes, but shalt not eat thereof. And the people went out, and spoiled the tents of the Syrians. So a measure of fine flour was [sold] for a shekel, and two measures of barley for a shekel, according to the word of the LORD. And the king appointed the lord on whose hand he leaned to have the charge of the gate: and the people trode upon him in the gate, and he died, as the man of God had said, who spake when the king came down to him. And it came to pass as the man of God had spoken to the king, saying, Two measures of barley for a shekel, and a measure of fine flour for a shekel, shall be to morrow about this time in the gate of Samaria: And that lord answered the man of God, and said, Now, behold, [if] the LORD should make windows in heaven, might such a thing be? And he said, Behold, thou shalt see it with thine eyes, but shalt not eat thereof. And so it fell out unto him: for the people trode upon him in the gate, and he died." How often has it occurred that, as soon as the Lord speaks a word of promise to you, the messenger of satan immediately comes to buffet you and cause you to doubt the truth of the word the Lord spoke?During this time in the scriptures, the king and children of Israel were in the midst of a famine because of their disobedience and disloyalty to God. The famine came through the siege of the city by the Syrian army. However, in reading further in the story, you will see that the siege was over, although Israel was not aware of their freedom. So, as we do today, they continued to live in bondage although they had been made free...due to the fact that their "eyes" continued to see things the same! When our vision becomes clear, we will live as Christ has made us: "free indeed!"While the message of hope and promise was being delivered to the desparate king, there was present one he trusted in and leaned upon - a confidant, if you will! THIS one, full of himself, pride and arrogance, spoke against the word of the Lord and the prophet of God. To this I say that it doesn't matter WHO says differently, you must ALWAYS CHOOSE to trust and cleave to the word of the Lord! Adhering to any other voice will bring sure death and destruction.As the word of the Lord began to unfold, the king believed and realized that the one whom he had faith in was undeserving of that position and demoted him instantly. Being close to leaders or people in authority is a dangerous position when taken lightly or for granted. You must never take yourself too seriously; never become overly confident or presumptuous! Pride is a magnet to falling!Some might say it was fate that the demotion of the captain caused the word of the prophet to come to pass. On the contrary, I say that the wickedness of the heart of that lord created his own demise; for, had he chosen to believe the word of the Lord, he would have been partaker of the blessings of the Lord.God has a plan in place for our lives; but, we cause that plan to fail or come to naught when we choose to disobey or disbelieve God! God's plan works in agreement with our faith.Why was the lord killed only and not the king, since the king obviously tended to listen to that lord's voice? We must also realize that, when we choose to believe God faithfully, He will kill - either naturally or spiritually - every other influential voice that seeks to hinder or stop your obedience! The king may have in time past, listened to that lord, but had sense enough this time to try the word of the Lord and see if it was so; hence, God just killed "the voice" instead of the king!Therefore, kill or let every other voice die and...BELIEVE GOD ONLY!
